Modern Contemporary - framed between two off-shutter concrete protective walls, this new house explores the phenomenological relationship between private and public space

A series of open-plan living spaces are carefully revealed as one moves through this new modern house designed by Paradigm Architects at Waterfall Country Lifestyle Estate. Two off-shutter concrete walls provide permanence and stability, a protective exoskeleton to the spaces within. Entrance to the house is celebrated through a timber pivot door within a large double-volume timber panel. Matching the timber element for size is a glass shopfront that puts vertical movement up and down the staircase on show.

The H-shaped design wraps the Lounge, Dining Room, Kitchen, Family Room and Covered Patio around the entertainment area opening out to the pool and indigenous garden. Upstairs a steel and timber staircase with a matching bridge connect the main bedroom suite across the double volume entrance hall. Within the living areas red facebrick has been used to celebrate fire and the hearth.
